REBOL/Command 2.0
|
|
Data Sheet
|
| Overview |
|
Features |
|
This is our full strength REBOL implementation for commercial developers,
enterprise users, and server-side applications. REBOL/Command extends the features of REBOL by integrating access
to database systems, secure environments, Web server interfaces, and legacy applications.
REBOL/Command is the premier solution for rapidly developing lightweight distributed
computing solutions. E-commerce companies, IS shops, and ASPs can all benefit from the powerful Internet-centric
applications and tools enabled by REBOL/Command.
Modern Internet applications must be able to fetch, analyze, modify, and transmit
information across the Internet using a wide variety of protocols. The rapid development of these applications
requires a powerful and compact system that is easy to learn and extremely flexible. With REBOL/Command based lightweight
distributed computing, applications can move information from back-end sources to client destinations across the
Internet as easily as if they were running on the same computer.
REBOL/Command/View is also included. It
combines all the features of REBOL/Command with all the features of REBOL/View. A powerful combination.

| REBOL/Core 2.5 Kernel |
| |
Includes 14 Internet protocols, 40 datatypes, 350 functions, dialecting,
and compression. |
| Database Access |
|
Direct database access to: |
|
- Oracle 8 (Windows,
Solaris Sparc, and Linux libc6 systems)
- MySQL 3
|
|
ODBC access (from Windows) to: |
|
- Microsoft Access

| FastCGI Server Interface |
|
FastCGI provides 5 to 10 times faster REBOL CGI scripting. FastCGI is a
standard, secure Web server interface that solves the performance problems inherent in CGI without the overhead
and complexity of proprietary APIs. |
| Secure Socket Layer (SSL) |
|
Client-side Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS)
with HTTPS protocol. Includes: SSLv2, SSLv3 and TLSv1with DES, 3DES and ARCFOUR in all strengths. RSA keys and
DSA/DH keys are supported. |
| Encryption Ports |
|
Easy-to-use encryption and decryption methods, including:
Symmetric key encryption
with Blowfish (576 bits*) and Rijndael/AES (256 bits*).
RSA public key encryption
(unlimited key size*). Used for session key exchange and electronic document signing.
DSA digital signature algorithm
(unlimited key size*). Used for electronic document signing.
DH (Diffie Hellman) key exchange
(unlimited key size*). Used for session key exchange.
*US version. Export versions are less. |
| REBOL/View Graphics Engine |
|
Server-side access to REBOL's graphical effect pipeline and compositing
engine plus draw modes without opening graphics libraries (e.g. X-windows).
Order Command now and receive a free copy of Command/View which
adds all of the features of REBOL/View. |
| External Library Access |
|
Interface to legacy systems or directly execute standard operating system
dynamic library functions. Or, use it to extend REBOL's functionality at the 'C' code level by creating your own
native libraries. |
| Shell Application Access |
|
Call external applications and utilities directly from REBOL through your
system shell interface. Launch applications or an entire job stream, pass control information and parameters, and
collect results for further REBOL processing. |
| Easy Installation |
|
REBOL/Command requires no installation. Just run the binary.
Command/View uses standard /View installer. Installs in seconds. |

| What Customers Say |
"REBOL/Command has done a great job. We bought the system and within two hours we were distributing a
database across multiple systems to integrate with XML and HTML. Our development time and costs are dramatically
reduced, thanks to Command, enabling us to invest our time into more innovative tasks. REBOL/Command has proved
to be of substantial value to our company."
