If you watch my twitter feed then you know that I went camping this weekend. Yes, every now and then, it's good to get away and relax.

However, it's not easy to relax when the forest is on fire. And... this is a very dense forest with very dry trees (this year we are experiencing a drought in this part of California.)

It's named the Yuba Fire.

We ended up fleeing the campground... So much for a relaxing weekend in the woods around the lake!

BTW, the fire was reportedly started by a red-tail hawk flying into some power lines. Interesting.

17-Aug-2009 14:06:08		 Where I live, its the exact opposite... we've had our FIRST 2 consecutive days of sun since May.

The climate really is getting weird nowadays.
