Quite a few people responded to the question about making fewer beta releases and more official releases. Everyone is in favor of the idea.

This strategy should work well because most releases do not include huge changes. It's better to make regular "monthly" releases that fix bugs and provide minor enhancements. I quote monthly because that would be a good goal to strive for, but it's still too early to know how it will work out.

It also makes sense to dump the betas because when we make major enhancements (like the Rebcode VM), they always go through multiple alpha versions for concept and design testing and feedback. Those alphas eventually look more like betas toward the end of the process, so the required testing gets done before release.
