Some of you may be wondering why the recent focus on MakeDoc. (See The MakeDoc Page for more information.) The answer is simply this: we rely on MakeDoc2 for not only all of our REBOL documentation, but now also for our primary web sites (run by a REBOL wiki that uses MakeDoc), and also for this very blog.

With so many projects now in development, documentation is consuming a greater portion of our resources. MakeDoc allows us to be extremely efficient in how we produce that documentation. So, it has become an essential tool, and we recently decided to support MakeDoc to a greater degree than in the past.

Although in the future we would like to see a single standard for MakeDoc, right now that requirement is secondary. Our energy and focus needs to be on our new development projects. Eventually, once time permits, we will revisit the issue of MakeDoc standardization.
